About Meera

MEERA SURESH  was​ ​initiated​ ​into​ ​Bharatanatyam​ ​by​ ​Navia​ ​Natarajan​ ​at​ ​the​ ​age​ ​of​ ​seven.​ ​Meera​ ​is privileged​ ​to​ ​be also training under her paramagurus, ​​​Sri.​ ​A.​ ​Lakshmanaswamy​ ​&​ ​Smt.​ ​Bragha​ ​Bessell.​ ​

Meera has received many compliments for her perfect technique - clean lines, beautiful araimandi and subtle abhinaya. 

Meera has presented solo Bharatanatyam to audiences in the USA & India. She has also performed ​in ​various​ ​group​ ​productions​ ​-​ ​“Euphoria”​ ​-​ ​a​ ​showcase​ ​of​ ​various classical​ ​dance​ ​forms​ ​of​ ​India,​ ​​ ​“Spark”​ ​-​ ​​ ​a​ ​multi-cultural​ ​dance​ ​production,​ ​and​ ​“Conference​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Birds”​ ​- a​ ​multi-cultural​ ​dance​ ​&​ ​drama​ ​production.​ ​She​ ​recently​ ​participated​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Dance​ ​&​ ​Music​ ​Festival​ ​hosted​ ​by Indian​ ​Fine​ ​Arts​ ​Society,​ ​San​ ​Diego.  

Meera graduated from UCLA and is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Washington, Seattle in Molecular Medicine & Mechanisms of Disease.
